Brownell School

Brownell School is a public elementary school found in the Saskatoon neighbourhood of Silverwood Heights. It is home to the Saskatoon Public Schools’ Functional Life Schools (FLS) program, which works to assist students with moderate to severe intellectual disabilities. It gives them the support they need to learn important life skills alongside their regular elementary education.

Viewing its students from a holistic perspective, Brevoort Park School strives to understand them from all facets—intellectual, physical, emotional, and spiritual. This allows teachers and administrators to better respond to every child that walks through the doors and set them up for success no matter their learning style.

Also found at Brevoort Park School are the Northern Heights Preschool and a before and after school program. Plus, several arts and physical education programs, outdoor and project-based learning, and leadership opportunities developed to engage students both in and out of the classroom.
