South Lake

South Lake is a thriving lakeside community situated on the south shore of Buffalo Pound Lake which is part of the Qu’Appelle Valley system. The Resort Village of South Lake was incorporated on January 1, 1989. Then on December 31, 2014, all properties located in the Organized Hamlet of Sand Point Beach were merged with the Resort Village of South Lake. As a result, the 2016 census revealed that our permanent population went from 48 to 169. The city of Moose Jaw is 30 km to the south and Regina is 100 km southeast which makes it an increasingly popular place for people to live either year round or seasonally.
