Tobin Lake is famous for being one of Canada's top fishing hot spots. Ask around - every local and visitor has a favourite spot on Tobin Lake for either shore fishing or fishing from a boat. The lake and provincial walleye record stands at 18.3 lbs and was caught ice fishing on January 4, 2005 by Father Mariusz, a seasonal resident of the village. This walleye was also entered into the record books as the World Record Walleye caught ice fishing.

With a very active recreation board, the village offers a variety of activities throughout the year, including snowmobiling opportunities that are second-to-none.
