Vanscoy

Vanscoy is a beautiful village in Saskatchewan, on Highway 7 near Highway 762. Since it is in very close proximity to Saskatoon, 29 km southwest, this village is a popular layover for many travelers.
Vanscoy is a quiet and peaceful village with a population of 339 residents. The people here are welcoming and friendly and have a strong sense of community. A majority of the residents are employed in the nearby Agrium potash mines, which is one of the largest sources of income for the people in the region.
Despite being a small community, the village has all the basic amenities required to live a comfortable life. Vanscoy has a bar where the locals come to socialize every night, a convenience store attached to a restaurant, and a gas station for the people commuting to work and people that are passing through the town.
Vanscoy School provides schooling for Kindergarten to 8th grade, after which the children go to the nearby town of Delisle for grades 9 to 12. For further education, the University of Saskatoon is hardly 30 minutes commute away.
One of the advantages of living in Vanscoy is its close proximity to Pike Lake Provincial Park that is a major attraction for tourists in the region. It comes complete with a water park, hiking trails and camping grounds
