Clavet

Situated by the Yellow Head Highway, 15km south-east of Saskatoon, Clavet is one of the most pleasant and established villages, placed centrally in Saskatchewan. The community at Clavet is a small and closely-knit one, with not more than 400 people.
At first, this village was French and the pronunciation of the name was “Cluh Vet.” It later became Clavet on 1 December 1909. In 1927, the village dissolved due to low population. Administrative duties transferred to the rural municipality and it t was not able to get recognition as municipality until 1964.
At Clavet, there are businesses like a couple of gas stations, a school and a motel. Classes at the kindergarten school here (named Claver School) are until twelfth grade. It is approximately thirty minutes far from downtown Saskatoon.
Transportation here is easy to find, as Clavet lies along the Highway 16, and joins with Highway 316.
Some important places to visit at Clavet include the Corman Air Park, which is on the west side of Clavet. The other name of this park is the Saskatoon Air Park. Another place worth recommending is the Canadian National Railway, which passes right through Clavet. Being close to Saskatoon, residents of Clavet have the advantage of being able to find good work opportunities. Moreover, they have access to essential amenities.
