Dundurn

With approximately 690 inhabitants, Dundurn is a well-established town in the Saskatchewan province. Its location is on Highway 11, which is in the centre of Saskatchewan. To be precise, it is situated 42kms south of Saskatoon. Primarily, it is an agricultural town and famous as a bedroom community. It was not until 1889 that the Regina Branch CNR rail line got to this part of Saskatoon.
In 2011, the population census revealed that there are as many as 693 people living here. Five minutes away from it is the Blackstrap Provincial Park. It is the perfect recreational place with activities like fishing, boating, picnic area, and camping to offer. There is also arrangement for golfing, and the Whitecap Convention Centre, Whitecap Casino and Dakota Dunes Golf Course are not too far (twenty minutes) from Dundurn. Closer than these is the Pitts Golf Course, which has a lush appearance, and is barely five minutes away from Dundurn. The Saskatchewan International Raceway is only ten minutes far from Dundurn towards the south.
Hockey is also one of the most prominent recreational activities of inhabitants of Dundurn. There is a local museum as well, which display the cultural and artistic heritage of this town.
