Hanley

Hanley is a thriving town with a community of about 550, named after Hanley in Staffordshire, England. Situated 65 km south of Saskatoon, Hanley was once a very important community in this region of Saskatchewan; it was an important trading and business hub up until the 1960s and several railroads passed through this region.
Hanley continues to grow as it’s a peaceful community and over the past few years young families and couples continue to relocate to this town. Hanley has no industry, but there are schools for children of all ages, churches for a spiritual life, businesses, and stores for all amenities you may require. For the adventurous type, just 15 km east of the town is the Signet Lake wildlife observation
Every year during the winter, the Hanley theatre provides a week of Entertainment showcasing local talent and includes an evening of dancing and exquisite diners. The local golf club arranges a fun night every week, different games sponsored by various organizations to encourage local interactions and encourage a strong community.
The town of Hanley houses one of the oldest Opera houses in Canada, the Hanley Opera house that was constructed in 1912. A breathtaking monument commemorates this landmark at the entrance of the town.
