Duck Lake

The town of Duck Lake is located in Saskatchewan; located 88 kilometers north of Saskatoon and 44 kilometers south of Prince Albert on the highway junction of 11 & 212.
The population of the town is 600 and an aggressive tourism marketing campaign that focus on the first nation Metis, and Pioneer cultures. Having quite a few tourist attractions around its locale, it includes murals of battles, St. Lauren shrine, Fort Carlton and more.
Since it’s in an area of great historical importance this town has the pleasure of receiving as many as 8000 visitors per year. A few minute drive from takes you to the site of the “Battle of Duck Lake & Buffalo Pit” when the Metis warriors and the Canadian government fought at the beginning of the Northwest rebellion.
