Elrose

Elrose is a town situated south of Rosetown on highway 4 and 44. It’s a vibrant community whose heartbeat lies in agriculture. With a population of 500, Elrose was incorporated into a town in 1951. The town was originally called La Berge; in 1931 when the railroad reached the area, Elrose was chosen.
Majestic hills of Elrose rising from rich, flat farmland are spectacular landscapes common throughout the Rural Municipality. The Coteau Hills are visible for miles and dominate the southern horizon, across the municipality's boundaries. To the west, the Greenan Hills are of a height with farms. The R.M. boundaries to the northwest, the Bad Hills stretch into the distance, the surrounding hills provide an inspiring backdrop to rural life.
Over the course of 50 years Elrose has seen many changes, but the growth has remained consistent with the residents’ goal to maintain the community as a family friendly locale. The Elrose council has a progressive mindset and continues to expand their horizons. Development projects are underway to install new water meters to each household.
The village as a whole caters to each basic need its residents require. This includes convenience stores, hospitals, voluntary fire department, hotels and insurance agency. The Elrose school provides education to the children of Elrose from Kindergarten to Matriculation.
