St. Frances Cree Bilingual School - Bateman
Offering a dual-stream English and Cree language program, St. Frances Cree Bilingual School (Bateman) is a Catholic elementary school found in the neighbourhood of Greystone Heights. Partnered with the Saskatoon Tribal Council (STC), it was the first Catholic school in the city to offer a Cree language program. Beyond just the language, though, the school is also dedicated to supporting traditional Cree culture and heritage, with rich programming built through a partnership of Elders and teachers—including a drumming group, powwow dance troupe, and flute players.
