Beginning November 12, 2025, Saskatchewan real estate took an important step toward greater transparency. Sold Status listings will now appear publicly on REALTOR.ca, allowing consumers to follow a property’s full journey — Active → Conditional → Sold → Closed — while keeping sold prices fully confidential.

This update improves public understanding of how real estate transactions work, strengthens trust in the REALTOR® brand, and keeps REALTORS® visible even after a sale is negotiated.

What’s Changing on REALTOR.ca

Under the new system, the public will be able to see when a property has sold, without seeing the final sale price. This ensures transparency without compromising privacy.

• Sold prices remain private

• Consumers must contact a REALTOR® for pricing insights

• Listing agents and brokerages remain visible until possession

• Listings automatically transition to “Closed” after possession

Why Sold Prices Are Still Private

While the status of a property will now be visible, sold prices are not displayed publicly. This keeps REALTORS® at the center of market conversations and ensures buyers and sellers receive proper context rather than raw numbers without explanation.

Market value depends on far more than price alone — including condition, terms, location, and timing — which is why professional guidance still matters.

What Buyers and Sellers Will See

Active & Conditional Listings

• No changes

• Full MLS® details and contact information remain available

Sold Status Listings

• Reduced data set

• “Book Showing” button removed

• Listing agent and brokerage remain visible until possession

Closed Listings

• Occur once possession date passes

• All MLS® listing data and agent branding removed

• Only basic public information remains (address, map, Street View)

This change builds trust in the real estate system by helping the public better understand how transactions unfold. It also benefits REALTORS® by extending post-sale visibility — similar to a digital “sold” sign — reinforcing credibility and ongoing market activity.
